Loved with reckless Abandon

This is Nate.
AKA; Nate the Great, Nater, Mi Amore, Papa and by his adoring mother, Nathan.
Here is a small offering of some of the reasons why I love Nate;
Obviously, he is HOOOOT! I always vowed to marry one with a miniature buttocks, as to give my children a chance, and so I did and I like his. He works hard. His smile takes my breath away. He is passionate about everything... work, education, church, friends and relationships. He is devoted. He is honest. He is funny! He is an amazing dancer... (go figure?!) He is incredibly intelligent. He is cautious. He is a logical thinker. He loves and honors his Father in Heaven and never takes his commandments lightly. He knows all the rules backwards, frontwards and sideways... and most of the time he obeys them! He is a good example to our children. He loves our children. He loves to run. He loves to play ball. He beat cancer... melanoma on the center of his back- WHEW! He is complementary. He even complements me on dinner every single night! He honors his parents with complete devotion. He can do anything! He loves people. I love Nate because he is considerate. He is thoughtful and he never gets too mad at me! He is an amazing cook. He is witty. When he holds a baby, women turn their heads!(It's true, and I love it!) He loves good music. He has tons of friends. In fact, he sees somebody he knows everywhere he goes! He is not afraid to show true emotion. But he isn't a baby either! When he gets a "man cold", he bucks up and gets moving. He would do ANYTHING for me, and I know it.
He loves me with reckless abandon.

I admit it... I don't have a clue how to blog

Okay... so lets talk about the blog thing. I go from scrapbooking which takes an eternity and a mortgage payment to complete an album, to thinking... "I'll blog and at the end of the year hit the "print" button instead". Small PROBLEMO... I don't have a clue how to blog. I felt neat that I changed the color of the background. It was neater that Katie explained how to post buttons on the side. But I want to put on fabulous backgrounds and type words by my pictures and even throw in a video once in a while. And how in the world do I put something on from the internet or say "go here" to get somebody off and running into a new blog land? So, until I find the unfortunate soul that will have to hold my hand through this one, my blog is suffering... and it's torturous that McKay's beautiful trip to D.C. had to be the trial post. So I appologize for that! hehe... now, if you'll excuse me, I'll get some cheese with my whine.

A trip to forever

A few years ago the extraordinary Nate won "employee of the year"! His prize included 2 tickets anywhere in the continental U.S. We tossed around several dream vacations. After all, there is so much to see here in the Land of the FREE.
Meanwhile, Mr. McKay had some dreamy ideas of his own. His eyes twinkled each time he made his wish to visit the Nation's capital. A twinkle recognizable by ANY but felt immensely by his dad and to the core by his mom. His fascinations with the establishment of our freedom, the sacrifice of our forefathers, and the seemingly ancient documents declaring our Independence intrigued McKay so much that he collected all the information he could... whether by book or interview, it was his for the taking. Then he locked it in his clever little mind only to let it escape if sharing the news with others. He never let up on the interest.
Papa Nate couldn't stand it any longer. He cashed in his prize for a treasure... A trip with his buddy... that will last in his memory forever. A trip to D.C.
The day came and the excitement was magical. All of us~ parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and sweet little Bailey and loving Coley~ could hardly wait for McKay and Nate to indulge in the history of our choice land. They spent 6 delightful days visiting the sites and reading and learning and playing and creating memories.

A Time For Every Purpose Under Heaven...

There is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven...
A time to journal life's events
A time to reunite with golden friends
A time to draw family (afar) a little more near
A time to reflect on Blessings
A time to share
A time to build up
A time to love
For these reasons, I believe there is
A time to Blog...
